SARAH CAHL IS DEAD. Resident of the District Since 1827 Victim of Old Age. Mrs. Sarah Rebekah Cahl, for many years a resident of the District, died at her apartment in the Astoria. Third and G streets northwest, shortly before midnight last night. Death resulted from old age. Mrs. Cahl was born in St. Mary's county, Md., August 13, 1827. Shortly after she moved to the District, where she has lived ever since. Mrs. Cahl was married twice, the first time to John Wilkinson. Her last husband has been dead several years. Mrs. Cahl has 15 children, 30 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Her daughters, Mrs. Augusta Sherman, Mrs. Alice Kingsbury, of New York; Mrs. Anna Bacon, of Bradford, Pa.; Mrs.Addie Marceron, of Washington; Mrs. Ella Angell, of St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Sarah E. Hallhausen, of Washington; Mrs. Emma E. Lane, of Washington, and Mrs. Ida I. Martin, of Norfolk, and a son, William Wilkinson, were present when Mrs. Cahl died. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
