National Union Immediate Relief Association, at its annual meeting, held January 29, elected the following officers for 1896: President E. C. Ford, of National Council, No. 220; Vice President, W. H. Fisher, of Nonpareil Council, No. 450; Secretary-Treasurer, Lewis H. Lanman, of Potomac Council, No. 208; Finance Committee, W. Q. Lowd, of Columbia Council, No. 443; E. A. Wilbur, of Post-office Council, No. 204, and A. T. Tracy, of Fraternal Council, No. 519. The Washington Post, Monday, February 3, 1896, pg. 7 National Steamboat Company Officers. At a meeting of the stockholders of the National Steamboat Company, Thursday evening, the following directors were elected: John A. Gray, sr., William H. Thomas, O. D. Morris, jr., Lewis Collins, Robert H. Key, John T. Fitzhugh, William Humphreys, Robert J. Daniels, Charles E. Bruce, William White, Austin Fickling, John C. Norwood, J. N. Mayne, John H. Matthews, and James H. Dabney. The directors met Saturday evening and elected the following officers: John C. Norwood, President; Jos. N. Mayne, Vice President; Oscar D. Morris, jr., Secretary; Robert H. Thomas, General Manager.
