Miss Nellie Crawford Thrown From De­vice at the Midway. Thrown from the "human roulette wheel" at the Midway, Fourteenth street and Park road, Saturday night, Miss Nellie Crawford, of 2145 K street northwest, was seriously injured. She was carried from the amusement place to an automobile and hurried to a private hospital. Later she was taken to her home. Her condition last night was greatly improved. It was feared that bones were broken, and that she was internally injured. Physicians last night stated that her injuries consisted of numerous cuts and bruises, but that no bones were broken. Miss Crawford was thrown from the wheel as it was revolving at top speed. She landed on her right shoulder, and was rendered unconscious.
