Mrs. Ormiston Chant, of London, Eng., is the guest of Rev. Dr. McKim. She will give an address to-day, at 12 o'clock, in the Sunday-school room of the Church of the Epiphany on "Woman's Influence." Secretary Tracy is thinking of taking a small house in the northwest portion of the city, which would be presided over by Mrs. Wilmerding. The gentleman who so cleverly read the French comedy at Mrs. Chandler's, last Saturday, is M. V. deLery, of 610 F street. Mrs. M. K. Shock, of Boston, Mass., is visiting Commodore W. H. Shock, at 1404 Fiftheenth street. Mrs. George C. Gorham and Mrs. W. F. Clark will receive to-day at 929 New York avenue. Mrs. Miller, the wife of the Attorney General, is at home informally on Wednesdays. Mrs. Cabell and Miss Cabell are at home informally on Wednesday during lent. Mrs. Dahlgreen will have the second author's reading at her house to-night. Mrs. Senator butler will receive informally to-morrow after 5 o'clock The Reading Class will meet with Mrs. Hammond to-morrow.
