THE PETITION OF Alexander Graham, Thomas Graham and Samuel Graham, brothers of John Graham dec. Humbly sheweth, that the said John Graham was owner at the time of his death of certain real estate, situate in Duck Creek hundred in the said county of Kent, which will yield an annual rent of about one hundred sixty dollars and also of personal estate the amount of which is unknown after the payment of his debts; that the said John Graham left to survive him a widow and two children by a former wife named Ann Graham and Sarah Graham who are both under the age of fourteen years, that said minors have no guardian, that your petitions object to their stepmother being appointed their guardian, and recommend Joseph Polk to be appointed their guardian. To the Honourable Kensey Johns Chancellor of the State of Delaware, composing the Orphans Court of Kent County. The petition of William Hazel and Sally his wife of Duck Creek hundred in Kent County Respectively Represent That John Graham died intestate in the year of our Lord 1815, being seized in his demesne as of fee of in and [unclear word] a tract of land situate in Duck Creek hundred in the county aforesaid containing three hundred acres more or less, adjoining land of Benjamin Coombe, land of George Wools and others. That the said John Graham left to survive him a widow named Elizabeth who is dead and two children namely Christiana Graham and your petitioner Sally wife of the said William Hazel. That your petitioners hold as tenants in common with the said Christiana the said land and tenements which is undivided. That your petitioners are desirous of a partition being made of said land, & pray the Court to appoint 5 judicious and Substantive freeholders to make partition thereof, agreeably to the intestate laws of this State.
