Will of THOMAS HALL, KENT, DELAWARE 22 MAY 1772 In the name of God Amen the twenty second day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred seventy two I Thomas Hall of Kent County on Delawar Being very Sick and weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God for the Same and Calling to mind the mortallity of my Body Knowing that it is appointed for all men once to Die do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament that is to Say Principally and Last of all I give and Recommend my Soul into the hands of God who gave it and for my Body I Recommend it to the Earth to be Decently Buried in a Christian Like Manner at the Decision of my Executors Nothing Doubting but at the General Resurection I shall Receive the Same again by the Mighty Power of God and as Touching Such wordly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to Bless me in this Life I give Devise and Dispose of the Same in the following manner and form Imprimis I give and Bequeath unto my Eldest son ASA HALL two hundred and eight acres of Land being part of a tract of Land Called the Golden Mine to him and his heirs for Ever to be Possest with the Said land at the age of Eighteen years old but if he should die without issue then to fall to his three younger Brothers RYNEAR NATHAN AND ALLEN HALL Equally to be Divided Between the three Brothers in Quantity and Quallity and the said ASA is to pay thirty pounds Serviceable money to his three younger Brothers RYNEAR NATHAN & ALLEN HALL __________________________unreadable_________________________________________ Item I give and bequeath unto my son JORDAN HALL all my home plantation to him and his heirs for Ever to be possessed with said land at the age of Twenty years Old by Paying thirty Pounds _____ ell money to his three younger Brothers RYNEAR NATHAN & ALLEN HALL that is to say ten Pounds to each as they Come of age . If the said Jordan Should Die without issue the land to be Equally ____Divided Between his three Brothers RYNEAR NATHAN & ALLEN ______ Item I give and bequeath unto my wife REBECA HALL all the third part of the Land _____During her Life I give and Bequeath unto my wife REBECA ____young mare named Luck and one feather bed and furniture________on and two teapots and all the Cups and Saucers Be____ing to me. Item I give and Bequeath unto my Daughter PARTHENA HALL one tea kettle Item My will is that after my Beloved wife shall receive her full third part of my estate My will is that the remainder be Equally Divided after my present debts be paid Between my two Daughters PARTHENA and REBECCA HALL to them and their heirs. Lastly I Constitute make and ordain my Beloved wife REBECCA HALL my _____and Sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament and I do hereby utterly Disallow revoke and disannul all and Every other former testaments wills and Legacies bequeathed and Executed by me in any ways before this time named willed and Bequeathed. Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my Last will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Day and year above written. Under that is written : Thomas Hall his mark/seal in the same handwriting as the body of the will -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rebecca Hall married as her next husband Robert Cahoon. Thomas Hall's daughter Parthena Hall m Isaac Mason. Isaac Mason b 31 jan 1753, a son of Abraham Mason b 1730 d 1754 Kent Delaware, a son of Isaac Mason d 1742/3 and Susannah Harmason (Harmanson) widow of David Roe, Mason Isaac Mason b 31 Jan 1753 married Parthenia Hall b 6 June 1756 of DE. The remaining Hall family migrated from Kent, DE to Monongalia Co VA about 1781. Parthenia Hall Mason and her husband Isaac Mason went to Nashville, Tennessee, area in 1790 while the Halls remained in VA (WV now)
