The twenty-seventh day of April Anno Domini Seventeen Hundred Eight five, I Joseph Mason of the County of Kent in the Delaware state being weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory, Thanks be to God; Do make and ordain this, my last Will and Testament; That is to say, First I give and Recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God who gave it, and my body I recommend to the Earth, to be Buried in a decent manner at the Discretion of my Executors. And so touching such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me, I give, Demisse and Dispose of in the following manner and form-------- Imprimis I Give and Bequeath unto my Eldest Daughter Sarah Cullin my large Church bible, and one Cow which is in her possession. Item I give unto my second Daughter, Mary Burroughs, my Chest of Drawers, Looking glass and silver tea spoons. Item I give unto my Eldest son Jacob Mason, my New mill now in his possession, Standing on the main branch of Mispillion Creek, with all and singular the Lands, and Appurtenances belonging to said Mill, on both sides of said Creek, to him, his heirs and assigns upon him, or his heirs or Successors paying unto my Grand Daughter Pearcy Cullin fifteen pounds Clear of Interest, after she arrives to the age of Eighteen years, Also to my aforesaid son I give one feather bed and furniture. But if my said son Jacob Mason Die without lawful heir or heirs, that then my said Mill and appurtenances, Shall descend to my two sons Charles and Elias Mason- Item I give unto my son Charles Mason all that part of my Dwelling Plantation Lying on the East side of a Certain Division Line, Containing about one Hundred and Seventy acres, with all the Improvements thereunto belonging, with all and singular its other Appurtenances, to him and his heirs and assigns; Also one Feather bed, & furniture, with one sorrel Horse both in his possession. Item I Give unto my son Elias mason, the other part of my Dwelling Plantation, Lying on the west Side of the above Division Line, and adjoining to Archibald McSparran's place by the Savannah Church, Containing about One Hundred & Sixty Acres, with all and singular its Appurtenances, to him his heirs and assigns, Also one young mare & one feather Bed & furniture, both in his possession: But it is my will and Design, that if Either of my sons, Charles or Elias, Die without leaving lawful Issue, that then his part of my Dwelling Plantation shall Descend to the surviving Brother, his heirs and Assigns---- Item I give unto my son Joseph Mason, my old Mill, Standing on Swan Creek, with all and Singular the Plantation, Houses, and all and Singular the Appurtenances belonging to said Mill, and Plantation, Containing about Two Hundred Acres, more or Less, to him his heirs and assigns, upon his or his heirs or Succesors Paying to my Grand Daughter Sarah Cullin when she arrives at the age of Eighteen years the sum of Fifteen pounds Clear of Interest till then: Also he or his heirs or Successors shall pay unto my Grand Daughter Mary Mason the sum of fifteen pounds Clear of Interest when she arrives to the age of Eighteen years. Also in like manner Fifteen pounds to my Grand daughter Sarah Mason when she shall arrive to the age of Eighteen years. But if he should die without Issue lawful, then the Mill and Plantation that is here Devised to my Joseph shall go to my two sons Charles and Elias Mason, and their Heirs and Assigns, Equally.--------------- And I do hereby Constitute, Nominate, and Appoint, Jacob and Charles Mason my two sons jointly, to be Executors of this my Last will and Testament; And I do Hereby utterly Disallow, Revoke, and Disannul, all and every former will and Testament whatsoever, Ratified or Confirmed by me: Pronouncing Ratifiing, and Confirming this and no other to be my Last will and Testament, In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal in the Presence of the Subscribing Witnesses.
