New Castle, DE Thomas Cartwright appointment of Executor

This document was found on the earliest roll of 
microfilm for Wills in New Castle Delaware at the Delaware Hall of Records, 
Dover, Delaware.  I neglected to write down the microfilm roll name and
number.  I have tried to copy the document as written, there was a 
handwritten copy as well as a typed copy that had been transcribed.  
This was the earliest Cartwright document found on the roll of microfilm.

Granting of Ltres of administration for the County of New Castle upon 
Delaware by Virtue of a Commission from the Honble John Evans Esqr Leuit 
Governour of the Counties of New Castle Kent & Sussex upon Delaware & 
Province of Pensylvania
To Jane Cartwright Relict of Thomas Cartwright late of the sd County
deced Yeom Greeting Whereas Thomas Cartwright late of the County aforesaid
Yeom Dyed Intestate (as is affirmed)  We desireing that the Goods Rights & 
Creditts which were of the sd decedts may be well and truly administred and
Converted and Disposed of to Pious Uses Doe by Virture of the Authority
aforesd Grant unto the sd Jane Cartwright in whose fidelity in this
behalfe we very much Confide full power by the tenor of these presents to
administer the Goods & Chattles Rights and Creditts which were of the sd 
decedt within this Government and faithfully to dispose thereof as also to 
Collect Ask Levy recover and receive the Creditts whatsoever of the said
decedt within this Government which at the time of his death were owing or 
to him did any way belong and to pay the debts in which the said decedt 
Stood Obliged as far forth as the Goods Chattles and Creditts of the said 
decedt will Extend according to their Rate or order of Law Especially of 
well and truly administring the same and making a full and perfect Inventory
and Conscionable appreaisment of all and Singular the Goods chattles and 
Creditts of the sd Decedt and Exhibitting the same unto the Registers Office
att New Castle att or before the twentieth day of July next Ensuing and of
rendring upon your Oath and Solemne Affirmation a full and true acct of the
said administration att or before the twentieth day of March then next 
following and we doe by these presents Ordaine Constitute and Depute you 
the said Jane Cartwright Administratrix of all and Singular the Goods
Chattles and Creditts of the sd decedt within the limitts aforesaid 
saveing harmlesse & for ever Indempnifying the said Leiut Governor our 
Selves and all other Officers against all other persons by reason of your
administration aforesaid and saveing to all others their Rights in 
Testimony whereof we have affixed the Seale of the said office to these 
presents dated at New Castle this twentieth day of Aprill in the Seventh 
Yeare of the Reigne of Queen Anne over Great britaine Anno Domi 1708
