Wilmington Morning News, Nov. 28, 1968
   Mrs. Lola S. McAllister, 88, of 4930 Old Capitol Trail near Stanton, died 
Tuesday night at her home after a long illness.
   She was the widow of John C. McAllister, who died in 1959.  Mrs. McAllister, 
a native of Magnolia, had lived in this area for 65 years.
   She was a 50 year member of Doris Rebeka Lodge 9, IOOF, and also belonged to 
Delaware Chapter 1, Order of the Eastern Star.
   Surviving are two sons, Samuel L. and J. Russell, both living at the family 
home on Capitol Trail; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and three 
sisters, Mrs. Dora Kahmer of Secane, PA, Mrs. Anna Weldin of Newark and Mrs. 
Ada Thompson, also of Capitol Trail.
   Services will be Saturday morning at 10 at the Robert T. Jones and Son 
Funeral Home, 122  W. Main Street, Newark, where friends may call tomorrow 
night.  Interment will be private.
   In lieu of flowere, the family suggests contributions to charity.

Additional Comments:
Mrs. McAllister was the daughter of William Asbury Sherwood and Annie B. 
Pierson both natives of Delaware.
