  Captain Lemuel W. Rickards Born November 5, 1805 Died January 24,1885
I had benn informed that the family gravesite was behind a houseing development 
on N. Orlando, Ocean View DE. The site on property owned by a Mr Hickman is 
completely overgrown by a thicket of vines and thorns. On our first try in 2001 
wwe were unable to see the headstones even when we were practically on top of 
them. Last May with the help of a friendly neighbor, she guided us thru the 
dense underbrush. there are three headstones upright. Capt. Lemuel Sr and Capt 
Capt Lemuel Jr and Nancy Wise Wharton Rickards, his second wife born Dec 9, 1821
Died Feb 12, 1868. Other headstones have fallen and covered with growth.
