I, Robert Holmes of the county afsd. yeoman being sick and weak in body but of Sound Disposing Mind and Memory and Calling to Mind what is Appointed for all men Once to dye do make my Last will and Testament in manner and form Following that is to say first and principally I Recommend My soul unto God who gave it and my body to the Earth to be buried in a Decent manner by my Executors hereinafter Named in hopes of a Glorious Resurrection Through Jesus Christ my Saviour. And as to what wordly goods it hath please God to Allow me on this Earth I Give and Dispose of in manner and form following, viz: Impro: I order all my Just Debts and Funeral Charges to be paid Out of my Personal estate. Item: I give and bequeath to my Loving wife Jennet Holmes the plantation whereon I Now Dwell During her Natural life and after her Decease to my Loving Son John Holmes and his Heirs forever. Item: I Give and Bequeath to my Loving Son John Holmes my best suit of Apparil and a Beaver Hat to Have and to Hold and a Great Coat and one pare of Boots and Twenty Shillings in Cash. Item: I give and Bequeath to my Loving Daughter Isabella Coulter One Black mare and Twenty shillings in Cash. Item: I give and Bequeath unto my son, In Law Charles Coulter One Silk Cap and Ten shillings in Cash. Item: I Give and Bequeath to my Grand Daughter Elizabeth Campbell after the Decease of my wife One Negro man Called Dick. Item: I Give and Bequeath to my Loving wife all the residue of my personal Estate whom I Likewise constitute make and Ordain Executrix and Josias Martin Executor of this my Last will and Testament an I do hereby utterly Disallow all and Every other former Testaments wills legacies and Executors by me in any way before this time named and willed and Bequeathed ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my Last will and Testament.
