Clark, on the other part, both of East Florida Witnesseth, That the said Acosta for and in consideration of the Sum of One thousand Dollars to him in hand paid at and before the Signing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, Sold and conveyed and by these presents do grant, bargain, Sell & Convey, unto the said Clark, Five thousand Acres of Land being and lying in the Territory known as East Florida and situated as follows, Four thousand Acres in a Survey made at Flounder Creek on the West Side of Indian River and One Thousand Acres in a Survey made at Bowleys old field on Bowleys Savannah, which five thousand acres are a part of eight thousand acre grant made to the said Acosta, in absolute property by the late Spanish Government, on the twentieth of May eighteen hundred and sixteen, as will more fully appear, by the plots and Certificates of Survey by the then Surveyor General of the Province To have and to hold unto the said Clark, the said parcels of Land, and to his heirs and Assigns, together with all and Singular the Rights, members, and Appurtenances to the same in any manner belonging, to his and their proper use, and behoof __ And the said Domingo Acosta , do and will Warrant & defend the same against himself his heirs, executors Administrators and Assigns, unto the said George I. F. Clark his heirs Executors administrators and Assigns, but not against the claim of any other person whatsoever, this being a quit claim Sale ___ In Witness whereof the Said Acosta hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the day and year above written ___ Signed, Sealed & delivered Domingo Acosta (seal) in presence of Jacque Vocill Charles S. Henry Judge of the Superior Court for the Eastern District of the State of Georgia, Jacque Vocill whose name is signed as a witness to the foregoing Deed to me well known, who being by me duly Sworn, did upon Oath say, that he was present, and did see the Grantor to the foregoing Deed Domingo Acosta, Sign, Seal and deliver the same as his Act and deed, and delivered the same for the purposes therein mentioned, and that the said Jacque Vicell did sign his name as a witness thereunto, and I do further Certify, that I was present and did see the Said Domingo Acosta sign and deliver the foregoing Deed and that my signature thereto is in my own proper hand writing Given under my hand at Jefferson, Camden County this 9 day of April 1839 Charles S.
