Brown of the second part both of the County of Alachua and the Territory of Florida Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of Seven hundred Dollars in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt thereof is hereby Acknowledged hath bargained Sold Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents, Do grant bargain Sell convey and Confirm unto the said party of the second part a Tract of Land, being the west half of the south east quarter and the North half of the East half of the south West quarter of Section number One Township number eight Range eighteen South and east containing One hundred & twenty Acres more or less Situated in the County of Alachua and Territory of Florida Aforesaid To have and to hold, with all and Singular the rights members and Appurtenances thereof to the said party of the second part being belonging or in any wise Appertaining, with the remainder & remainders reversion and reversions, rents issues and profits thereof, to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said party of the second part, his heirs executors Administrators & assigns in fee simple forever and the said party of the first part his heirs executors Administrators and Assigns, the said Bargained premises unto the said party of the second part his heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns, Against the said party of the first part his heirs executors and Administrators and all and every person or persons whatsoever shall and will Warrant and forever defend by virtue of these presents____ In Witness Whereof the said party of the first part hath hereunto set his hand & Seal day & year first above written his Signed Sealed & delivered James X Burnett (seal) In presence of us mark Abraham Matt James McNeill Clk C.C. of A Know all men by these presents that I massy Burnett wife of the Grantor in the above Deed of Conveyance of Real Estate, Do hereby renounce, release and forever relinquish all my right of Dower in and to the premises mentioned therein____ her Signed & Sealed in presence of Massy X Burnett (seal) S. Burnett Territory of Florida Alachua County Be it remembered that Massy Burnett whose name is affixed to the foregoing renunciation of Dower was this day examined by me Separately and apart from her said husband James Burnett when she Acknowledged that she executed the said renunciation freely, Voluntarily and of her own accord Without any Constraint, compulsion or fear of or from her said husband or any person or persons Whatsoever Before me this 20th day of February AD 1841 S.
