Clark on the other part Witnesseth, That the said Fernandez, for and in consideration of the Sum of One thousand Dollars, to him in hand paid at and before the Sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged, hath granted, bargained & Sold and by these presents do grant, bargain, Sell and Convey unto the said Clark, Three thousand Acres of Land, laying in the part of Said Territory known as East Florida, and situated at and about Moodys Hammock, on the Road or path going from Paynes Town to Ocklewaha Creek, which is a part of Sixteen thousand Acres grant, made to the said Fernandez by the late Spanish Government, on the sixteenth day of November eighteen hundred & Seventeen, as will now more fully appear by the plot and Certificate of Survey by the late Surveyor General of said Province and hereunto annexed ( http://www.rootsweb.com/~flalachu/253A.gif ) To have and to hold the said three thousand Acres of Land unto him the said Clark his heirs and Successors, together with all and Singular, the Rights, Members, and Appurtenances to the same in any manner belonging to his and their proper use and behoof forever And the Said Domingo Fernandez for himself his heirs executors and Administrators, the said bargained premises, unto the said Clark his heirs and assigns, Will Warrant and forever defend the Rights & Titles thereof against himself and themselves, but not against the claim or claims of any other person or persons whatever, this being altogether a quit Claim Sale ____ In Witness whereof the said Fernandez hath hereunto set his hand and seal day and year above written ____ Signed, Sealed & delivered Domingo Fernandez (Seal) in presence of Jacque Vicell Charles S. Henry Judge of the Superior Court for the Eastern District of the State of Georgia, Jacque Vicell, whose name is Signed as a Witness to the foregoing Deed to me well known, who being bi me duly sworn, did depose and say, that he was present and did see the Grantor to the foregoing Deed Domingo Fernandez Sign Seal and deliver the same as his Act and deed, and deliver the same for the purposes therein mentioned, and that he did sign his name as a Witness thereto, And I do further Certify that I was present and did see the said Domingo Fernandez Sign. Seal, and deliver the foregoing Deed and that my Signature thereto is in my proper hand writing ___ Given under my hand at Jefferson, Camden County this 9th day of April 1839 - Charles S.
