Lawrence of the County of Alachua in the Territory of Florida, for the Consideration of five hundred dollars, Lawful Money of the United States to me in hand paid by Geroge E. McClellan by the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby fully Acknowledged do give grant bargain and sell unto the said George E. McClellan my two Negro Slaves, Dick a male aged about fifty years and Charlotte about thirty six years of age a female with all her future increase, Also my sorrel horse about seven years of age and also all my stock of Cattle Carefully Collected and Counted Amounting to twenty four head Marked and branded with the letter L said stock being all that are owned and possessed by me, It being my intention hereby to Convey unto the said George E. McClellan all the stock that belong to me, though it shall be found at any future Collection and Counting that thereof number exceeds the amount herein above stated To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises unto him the said Geo. E. McClellan, & to his and their proper use and behoof And I the said James A.D. Lawrence do for myself my executors and Administrators do covenant with the said George E. McClellan his executors Administrators and Assigns that I have good and lawful right to grant bargain and sell the premises above granted bargained and Sold in manner and form as above written and that the same are free from all incumberances whatsoever And Administrators forever to Warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises unto him the said George E. McClellan his Executors, Administrators and Assigns forever against all claims & demands whatsoever Provided nevertheless if I the said James A.D. Lawreence my executors Administrators or any person for me or them shall well and truly pay unto the said George E. McClellan his executors Administrators or Assigns My certain promissory Note by me made and delivered unto the said George E. McClellean for Value Received and bearing date the first day of January AD 1832 for the sum of five hundred Dollars payable one day after date with Interest as Eight percent according to the terms thereof or any time within one year from the date hereof, then this Deed to be void otherwise to remain in full force Dated at Alachua this 19th Day of November 1835 And then and there Signed Sealed And delivered In presence of Joseph L. Smith Ja's A.D. Lawrence (L. S.) Copy of the Note on which this Mortgage is made $500 Brunswick 1st January 1832 I James A.D. Lawrence do hereby promise to pay unto George E. McClellan on day after date five hundred Dollars with interest at Eight percent Signed Ja's A.D. Lawrence Personally Appeared James A.D.
