Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in the consideration of the sum of One thousand seven hundred and ninety six Dollars and eleven cents lawful money of the United States of America to him in hand paid at or before the ensealing of and delivery of these presents by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged and the party of the first part therewith fully satisfied contented and paid, hath remised, released and quit claimed and by these presents doth remise, release and quit claim unto the said party of the second part, and unto his heirs & Assigns forever All the equal and undivided Two thirds of ten thousand acres of Land being an undivided part of thirty thousand acres of land, which thirty thousand acres is an undivided part of a large tract of land containing two hundred and eighty nine thousand six hundred and forty five acres and five sevenths of an acre Situate lying and being in the Alachua Territory in East Florida, west of St. Augustine as by reference to the grant made to Don Fernando de la Mara Arredondo and son of the said tract by the Spanish Government which grant is dated at Havana on the twenty second day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and seventeen will more fully appear , the said large tract of two hundred and eighty nine thousand six hundred and forty five acres and five sevenths of an acre, is to be divided unto twelve parts and these parts to be balleted for by the parties interested in the Division to be made ___ Together with all and Singular the hereditaments and Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents issues and profit thereof, And also all the Estate right title interest dower and right of Dower, property, possession, claim and demand whatsoever, as well in Law as in equity, of the said party of the first part, in or to , the above released premises, and any part and parcel thereof with the Appurtenances, To have and to hold all & Singular the premises above described and released, together with the Appurtenances unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and Assigns forever, And the said party of the first part , for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators and for each and every of them doth covenant promise and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and Assigns, by these presents, that the said party of the first part hath not made, done, committed execute or Suffered any Act or Acts thing or things whatsoever, whereby or by means whereof, the said above mentioned and released premises , or any part or parcel thereof now are or any time hereafter shall or may be impeached, charged or incumbered in any manner or way whatsoever___ In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and Seals the day and year first above written. Cambreleng State of Newyork City & County of Newyork On the thirty first day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty two, before me came Walter Mead and Maria his wife, to me known to be the same individuals described in and who executed the preceding Indenture, and Acknowledged the same to be their Act & deed, and the said Maria being by me examined privately separate and apart from her said Husband Acknowledged that she executed the same freely without any force or compulsion of her said Husband S. Cambreleng Commissioner of Deeds State of Newyork City & County of Newyork I Joseph Hoxie clerk of the City and County of Newyork, and also clerk of the Court of Common Pleas, for the said City and County Do hereby Certify, That S. Cambreleng whose name is Subscribed to the Certificate of the proof or Acknowledgement of the annexed instrument, and thereon written was at the time of taking such proof or Acknowledgement, a commissioner of Deeds, for said City and County, dwelling in the said City, commissioned & sworn and duly Authorized to take the same. And further that I am well acquainted with the hand writing of such commissioner, and verily believe that the Signature to the said Certificate of proof or Acknowledgement is genuine.
