This Indenture made the twenty sixth day of March in the year One 
thousand Eight hundred thirty nine, between Peter Mitchel of the State 
of Georgia of the one part and John Drysdale of the City of St. 
Augustine in the Territory of Florida of the other part.  Witnesseth 
that the said Peter Mitchel for and in consideration of the sum of Five 
hundred dollars to him in hand well and truly paid by the said John 
Drysdale at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents  the 
Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged  Hath granted bargained sold 
aliened released and confirmed and by these presents Doth grant bargain 
sell alien release and confirm unto the said John Drysdale his heirs 
and assigns forever  one individual part tract or parcel of Land 
Consisting of Five hundred Acres being part and parcel of that tract or 
parcel of Land situate & being in the County of Alachua in East Florida 
which was originally granted by the Spanish Government by grant bearing 
date on or about the twenty second day of December one thousand eight 
hundred and seventeen to Don Fernando de la Maza & son of Henando  And 
is Commonly called the Arredondo Grant And is the same land the grant 
and title to which was confirmed by the Supreme Court of the United 
States at the Term of that Court holden in January one thousand eight 
hundred and thirty two - and of which said tract or parcel of land the 
said Peter Mitchel is now a Grantee,  was one from the properties, and 
owner, and all all and singular the hereditaments rights members and 
appurtenances, whatever to the said five hundred Acres belonging or 
Appertaining and also the Estate right title interest Claims and 
demands what ever of the said Peter Mitchel of in and to the said five 
hundred Acres of land & any part and parcel thereof with the 
Appurtenances.   To have and to hold the said undivided five hundred 
Acres of land and all and singular other the premises above mentioned 
with the Appurtenances to the John Drysdale his heirs and assigns 
forever to his & their use benefit and behoof forever
      In testimony whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto 
set their hands and seals the day and year first above written ___

                  Personally appeared before me Isaac Garrason Clerk of 
the County Court of the County of Alachua Aforesaid Charles L. Dell one 
of the subscribing witnesses to the execution of the foregoing 
indenture who being duly sworn doth depose and say that Peter Mitchel 
whose name is there ** subscribed as one of the parties to the same did 
in the presence of this deponent sign seal and as his Act and Deed 
deliver the said Indenture for the purposes expressed therein
