Brandin Merchants and Copartners in the City of Tallahassee, County of Leon and Territory of Florida of the first part T.R. Hyde of the City of New Orleans, in the state of Louisiana, Merchant of the second part. Whereas the said party of the first part were on the sixth day of February last past justly indebted to the said party of the second part in the sum of One thousand four hundred and ninety dollars and ninety seven cents, which said sum of money is yet due and owing to the said party of the second part And whereas the said party of the second part is willing to extend the time of payment of said sum of money on condition that the payment thereby is secured to him. Now Therefore this indenture witnesseth that the said parties of the first part as well for and in consideration of the aforesaid debt or sum of One thousand four hundred and ninety 97/100 Dollars And for the better securing the payment thereof with its interest unto the said party of the second part , his heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns in discharge of the said recited debt, As of the further sum of One dollar to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part at and before the sealing and delivering hereof the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged Have granted Bargained sold released and Confirmed And by these presents do grant bargain, sell, release and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns all of the following tracts or parcels of Land lying and being in the County of Jackson in the Territory of Florida Aforesaid, And known and distinguished in the plat of the survey of the said Territory as the lots numbered one (1), two (2), and five (5), of section number thirty three (33) in Township number five (5) North of Range number seven (7) West and lot number one (1) of fractional section number thirty four (34) in the same Township and Range, Containing in All three hundred and twenty Acres, Also eight thousand Acres of Land situate lying and being in the County of Alachua in the Territory Aforesaid, the same being part of a tract of Land containing Forty thousand Acres, originally granted by Governor White on the eleventh day of January One thousand Eight hundred and Eleven to Joseph M. Arredondo, together with all and singular the building improvements, ways, woods, waters, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof To have and to hold the said tracts and parcels of Land and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the Appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and Assigns forever Provided always nevertheless that if the said parties of the first part their heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns shall and do well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said party of the second part his executors, Administrators or assigns the aforesaid debt of One thousand four hundred and ninety dollars and ninety seven cents on the twenty ninth day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and thirty six with interest thereon at the rate of Eight per centum per Annum from the sixth day of February last past until paid, then and from thenceforth this present Indenture and the estate hereby granted shall cease determine and become absolutely null and void to all intents and purposes any thing herein before Contained to the contrary in anywise notwithstanding In testimony whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first before written Signed Sealed and delivered in John Moloney (seal) the presence of Henry P.
