Sanchez vs The United States Memorial for four thousand Acres of Land The claimant produced in evidence his memorial to the Governor of Florida dated the 18th December 1815, also the Governors Decree granting him the Land in his Memorial of four thousand Acres __ This case being submitted, and there being an absolute title of property in the Memorial from the Law and Usage of this Province, We feel no doubt, had the claimant applied to that Government, that his title would have been recognized as a Sufficient one, We therefore recommend the same to Congress for Confirmation Recommended 22 January 1824 I, Antonio Alvarez keeper of the Public Archives of East Florida, do hereby certify the foregoing to be a true and correct extract from the Register of claims (Book A Page 96) of the Board of land Commissioners, which Register was transferred to this Office According to Law, by the Register and Receiver of the land Office, while acting as Land Commissioners, as part of the papers relative to private Land claims in East Florida Aforesaid ___ (Seal) Witness my hand and Seal of Office at the City of St. Augustine Territory of Florida, this twenty third day of March A.D.
