All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/fl/flfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jim Powell, http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00030.html#0007445 April 1999 "Transcribed by Jim Powell Jr from Records provided by Buddy Irby, Alachua County Clerk of the Court's Office" Page 4 - 6 This Indenture made the tenth day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred & thirty Between Joseph Simion Sanchez of the City of St. Augustine Territory of Florida of the first part Theodore Flotard of the City of Tallahassee in Florida of the second part Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand Dollars lawful money of the United States of America to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged, have granted, bargained sold, Aliened, remised, released, conveyed and confirmed, And by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, Alien, remise, release, convey and confirm, unto the said party of the second part, And to his heirs and assigns forever, All that undivided half part of a tract of Land containing four thousand Acres situated on the Orange Lake Branch and the River Ocklawaha, in the County of Alachua, And being within a large tract of Land of Forty thousand Acres by Governor White to Joseph M. Arredondo on the eleventh day of January 1811 the said four thousand Acres of land having been conveyed to Joseph Simion Sanchez party of the first part by Francis I. Fatio Attorney in fact of the Widow of said Arredondo And recorded in the Clerk's Office in the County of St. Johns on the sixteenth day of September 1828 in Book 11 page 134 Together with All and Singular the tenements Hereditaments and Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise Appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof And also All Estate, right, title, Interest property possession, claim and demand whatsoever, As well in Law as in Equity of the said party of the first part, of in, or to the above discribed premises And every part and parcel thereof with the Appurtenances To have and to hold the above granted and discribed premises with the Appurtenances, unto the said party of the second his heirs and assigns, to his & their own proper use and behoof forever Sealed and delivered in presence of Joseph Elzardi Joseph Simion Sanchez Francis Mirle Ensebio Maria Gomez Territory of Florida Leon County Before me Leslie A Thompson one of the Justices of the Peace for the County of Leon, Personally came and appeared Joseph Elzardi who being duly sworn deposeth And saith that he was present And saw Joseph Simion Sanchez Sign Seal and deliver the within deed of bargain and sale as and for his act and deed for the purposes therein contained and that Francis Mirle and Ensebio Maria Gomez signed their names with him as witnesses thereto In testimony whereof I have set my hand and seal this Twenty third day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty Leslie A. Thompson (Seal) J.P. Territory of Florida County of Alachua Be it remembered that the within Bargain and Sale, which appears as above to have been proved before Leslie A. Thompson a Justice of the Peace for Leon County was produced to me in My office on the 4th day of December 1830 and required to be placed on record, Whereupon I have duly recorded the same in Book A pages 331.332.333 Witness My hand this 27th day of December A.D. 1830 Jno. C. Richard C.A.C.C. I Mary L. Sanchez wife of the within named Joseph Simeon Sanchez do hereby renounce & relinquish unto Theodore Flotard the grantee named in the within deed all my right of Dower in and to the premises hereby and therein granted and I do declare that I make this relinquishment and renunciation freely, voluntarily And without any fear Compulsion or restraint of said Husband Joseph Simeon Sanchez In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fourth day of April One thousand Eight Hundred And Thirty Two Signed Sealed and Delivered Mary L. Sanchez (L. S.) In Presence of J. Gray Jr. St. Johns County I J. Gray Jr. one of the Justices of the Peace in and for the County Aforesaid do hereby certify that Mary L. wife of Joseph Simeon Sanchez personally appeared before me, and being by me examined seperately And Apart from her said husband Acknowledged that she had freely And Voluntarily And without Any Compulsion or restraint of or from her said husband relinquished all her right of dower in and to the premises within conveyed unto the Grantee therein named, And that she wished not to retract the same In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 24th day of April One thousand Eight hundred and thirty two J.
