Tyner and after being duly sworn says that he has been acquainted with Capt. Gabriel Priest for several years past and gone and is of the opinion said Priest is a man of honesty and integrity free in his intinments and charitably in his disposition and this deponent says he is well acquainted with said Priests citation as to property and his losses in the late distressing times with the hostile Indians and having carefully examined said Priests charges against the United States for injuries done the said Priest by the Semanole Indians on or about the 6th day of December 1835 in the County of Alachua and Territory of Florida and this deponent humbly concurs the said charges to be reasonable and just John G.
