Dell of the County and Territory Aforesaid the receipt whereof I hereby Acknowledge do by these presents give, grant, bargain Sell and convey unto the said Bennett M. Dell the undivided half of a certain parcel of land, Situate on or near the Santaffe River & described on the maps in the Land Office at St. Augustine as Lots number Seven and eight or the South east quarter of section thirty five Township six Range fifteen South and East containing One hundred and sixty Acres __ Together with all and Singular the Appurtenances to the said land in any wise Appertaining and belonging, To have and to hold the above granted premises to the said Bennett M. Dell his heirs and Assigns, to his and their use and behoof forever, And I the said Samuel Worthington do covenant with said Bennett M. Dell his heirs and Assigns that I am lawfully Seized in fee of the afore granted premises, that they are free from all incumberances & that I have good right to sell and convey the same to the said Bennett M. Dell as aforesaid & that I will and my heirs executors and Administrators shall Warrant and defend the same to the said Bennett M. Dell his heirs and Assigns forever against the claim and demand of all persons___ In Testimony Whereof I the said Samuel Worthington have hereunto Set my hand & Seal this 26th day of December AD 1840 Signed Sealed & delivered Samuel Worthington ( L. Worthington Territory of Florida County of Alachua Know all men by these presents that I Mary Worthington wife of the aforesaid Samuel Worthington grantor in the aforesaid Deed of Conveyance of Real Estate to Bennett M. Dell do hereby renounce relinquish and release all my right of Dower in and to the lands in said conveyance unto Bennett M. Dell grantee in consideration of the sum of one Dollar to me in hand paid by the said Bennett M. Dell the receipt whereof I do hereby Acknowledge, In Witness I have here unto set my hand & Seal this 26th day of December AD 1840 Signed & Sealed in presence of C.F. Duerr & her Samuel H. Mark Territory of Florida County of Alachua Be it remembered that on this 26th day of December AD 1840 personally appeared before me the Subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for the said County, Mary Worthington wife of the aforesaid Samuel Worthington, who being by me examined privately & apart her said husband, she did then and there Acknowledge that she had signed sealed and delivered the foregoing renunciation, relinquishment & release of Dower and that she had done so freely, voluntarily and without any Compulsion constraint and Apprehension or fear of or from her said husband and that she wished not to retract it, Given under my hand & Seal this 26th day of December AD 1840 S.
