D. One Thousand Nine Hundred and 19, personally appeared before me, a notary public in and for the County and State aforesaid Mrs. J. H. Barry a resident of Worthington P. O. County of Alachua State of Florida, who being duly sworn according to law, makes the following declaration in order to obtain a pension under the provisions of Chapter 7259, Laws of Florida, approved June 7, 1917. That she is the lawful widow of Joseph H. Barry who enlisted under the name of Joseph H. Barry, refer to pension no. 6190. That he also served for proof of husband's service refer to Pension No. 6190. That she was lawfully married to the said Joseph H. Barry under the name of Ida M. Hodges in the County of Liberty State of Ga. on the 24 day of Oct., 1897, and that she was not divorced from him before nor has she remarried since his death, which occurred on the 6th day of March, 1919, in the County of Alachua, State of Florida, except as hereinafter stated. That she is a resident of Alachua County, Florida, and has continuously resided in the State of Florida since the 25 day of Oct. 1897. That she was heretofore granted a pension from the State of Florida under Certificate No. ____. That she is not a pensioner of any other State. D. 1919, I hereby certify that the above declaration, etc., was made known and fully explained to the applicant before swearing, and that I have no interest, direct or indirect, in the prosecution of this claim. Ashmore, Ordinary, of Liberty County, Georgia, hereby certify that the records in this office show that a marriage license was issued to J. H. Barry and Ida M. Hodges on the 22d day of October, A. D. 1897. The records further show that the above named parties were married on the 24th day of October, A. D. 1897, and that the ceremony was performed by J. O. Garrason, [sic] J. P. C. W. Ashmore Ordinary Liberty Co., Ga. (b) State of Georgia County of Liberty Before me, an Ordinary in and for the County and State aforesaid, personally appeared E. C. Hodges and D. E. Hodges, who, being duly sworn according to law, deposes and says each for himself that he was present at the marriage of J. H. Barry and Ida M. Hodges which occurred at E. R. Hodges on the 24 day of October, A. D. 1897, in the County of Liberty, State of Georgia, and that the ceremony was performed by J. O. Garrison, J. P. E. C. Hodges (L.S.) D. E. Hodges (L.S.) Taylor who, being duly sworn according to law, deposes and says, each for himself, that he knows of his own personal knowledge of the death of J. H. Barry, which occurred at Worthington P. O. Taylor Notary Public Report of County Commissioners We, the undersigned, County Commissioners in and for the County of Alachua, Florida, do hereby report that at a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners held this day, the foregoing application of ____ for a pension under the Laws of Florida, was investigated by us; that we are satisfied that the applicant has been a bona fide citizen of the State of Florida for eight years just preceding the date of this application, and that the representation made in the petition and affidavits are true, and that a pension should be granted the applicant.
