W. S. Pringle, a Wealthy Floridian, Dies From Apoplexy. Gainesville, Fla., March 18- The dead body of W. S. Pringle, the treasurer of the Alachua Naval Stores Company, and a very wealthy and prominent man, was discovered in the road near Paradise, six miles distant from this city, this afternoon. His death was apparently from apoplexy. Mr. Pringle was well known in this city. He was born in New Haven, Conn., and came here in 1888, when the phosphate boom first began. He was associated with Dutton Phosphate Company for many years, after which he assumed the superintendency of the C. W. Chase timber interests, the largest in Florida. He left his home in Gainesville in fine spirits in the morning, but complained at Paradise of feeling bad. The body was brought here and it is likely that the remains will be taken to his old home in Connecticut for interment.
