She was born in Ocala and attended Crystal River Public Schools. Mrs Freeman was a circus aerialist with Ringling Brothers, the Al G. Barns and Sells-Floto Circuses. They traveled through the United States, Canada, France, Spain, New Zeland and Australia. She and her husband returned to the Crystal River area in 1952 but continued their travels in the entertainment field until their retirement in 1964. Mrs. Freeman was a protestant. Surviving are her husband Arthur E. Freeman of Crystal River; an aunt, Mrs. Lucy Sparkman of Dunnellon and seven cousins, Marion Sparkman of Crystal River, Mrs. L.P. Nicholson of Dunnellon, Mrs Judson Hill and Mrs Mark Max both of Miami, Mrs W.R. Abernathy of Pulaski, Tenn; Mrs James T. Butler of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Gordon Lee of Jacksonville. A Memorial Service was conducted Sunday, Feb.9, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Crystal River with Rev. L.B. Thomason officiating and cremation followed.
