Suncoast Senital
Mr. William A. Sparkman, aged 89, passed away November 24, at the Citrus
Memorial Hospital in Inverness following a long illness. A native of Waldo,
Florida and a former resident of in Lakeland, Florida, Mr. Sparkman had made his
home in Crystal River since 1907 where he was engaged in the general mercantile
business until his retirement eight years ago. Mr. Sparkman was a member of the
United Presbyterian Church of Crystal River and a charter member of the Seminole
Club.
 Survivors include his wife;Helen B. Sparkman; two daughters Mr. Christine
Pullen, Jacksonville, Florida and Mrs. Lucile Butler, of Portland,Oregon. Two
Sons; Marion E. and Thomas Ray both of Crystal River.Six Granchildren, four
great grand children, five neices and nephews including Peg and Art Freeman of
Crystal River.
 Funeral services were conducted Monday,Nov 26, at 3.00 p.m. fron the United
Presbyterian church, Crystal River with Dr. C. Stanley Newberg officiating.
Interment was in the family lot, Crystal River cemetery with Strickland Funeral
Home in charge of arrangemets.
