Mrs William Sparkman
      Crystal River -- Mrs. Helen B. Sparkman,79, died early Saturday morning at
her home following a long illness. She was born May 27, 1886 at warcester
County, Md., and came to Crystal Rive in 1907 from Lakeland, Fla. Mrs Sparkman
and her late husband, William Sparkman, owned and operated the Sparkman's store
here for many years.
     The store was closed about a year ago after she became ill.
     Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Christine Tullen, of Jacksonville,
and Mrs. Lucile Butler of Portland, Ore., a son Marion E. Sparkman of Crystal
River, six grandchildren and five great- grandchildren and a sister Mrs. R.T.
Lewis of New Church, Va.
      Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 at the United
Presbyterian Church in Crystal River, with the Rev. Donald E. Grady officiating.
      Interment will follow in Crystal River Cemetery with the Strickland
Funeral Home in Crystal River in charge of arrangements.

Mrs Christine Tullen should be Pullen.
She had two children that had died earlier: William Anderson Sparkman Jr.
1908-1911 and Thomas Ray Sparkman 1924 - 1965
