 On November 30, 2011, Donna MacNiven passed away at her home surrounded by 
family and friends. 
 Donna was born on October 27, 1948 in Miami, FL to Art and Betty Jo Powell. 
She moved to Naples, FL in 1974 where she helped her husband open his State 
Farm Agency. Several years later, Donna opened her own State Farm Agency being 
one of the first female agents in the state. She went on to become an Agency 
Field Executive until her retirement in 2004. She founded the Youth Leadership 
Collier (YLC) through the Chamber of Commerce. YLC is a weeklong program 
focused on developing leadership skill for Collier County teens.
 Donna is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, a daughter and son-in-
law, two grandsons, a daughter and her family, several grandchildren, her 
sister and brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
 Donna fought valiantly against the breast cancer that was originally 
diagnosed in 1996;
 A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, December 4 at North Naples 
United Methodist Church, Naples.
