GROVER MORROW. A lawyer who has accumulated some of the substantial professional honors during his practice in Miami, S. GROVER MORROW is a native of Florida, and is one of the group of younger men who have joined their fortunes to the remarkable young City of Miami. He was born in Madison County, Florida in 1893, son of A. H. and LOUISE G. (HINTON) MORROW, whose home is still in Madison County. A. H. MORROW is a prominent farmer and banker there, and was also born in Florida. The grandfather came to this state from South Carolina, where the Morrows have lived for generations. Governor Morrow of Kentucky is a kinsman of this family. S. GROVER MORROW acquired a common and high school education in Madison County. He graduated Ph. B. with the class of 1915 from Asbury College at Wilmore, Kentucky, and he studied law in Hamilton College of Law at Chicago. Mr. Morrow was admitted to practice in the Florida courts in April, 1918, and in the same year established himself in this profession in Miami. He is engaged in general practice, but his work has been almost entirely limited to the civic branch, and he has made something of a specialty of abstracts and the land title law. While a student in College he was a member of Company I of the National Guard of Kentucky at Lexington. At Miami he is a sergeant of Company B, 154th Infantry, Florida National Guard, a unit of the regular military establishment of the United States. Mr. Moreau is a member of the Ad Club of Miami, the Dade County Bar Association, and the Trinity Methodist Episcopal Church, South. He married VERNA V. SKELLEY of Columbia, Tennessee. They have one son, S. GROVER, Jr. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/fl/dade/bios/morrow282bs.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/flfiles/ File size: 2.4 Kb
