Mrs. Pearl M. Mendell, 101 years of age, departed this life on Wednesday, May 30, 
2001, at her residence in Miami, Fla.  She is survived by her daughter, Judith 
Solomon (Mrs. Melvin Solomon) of Charleston, S. C., her son, Stanley Mendell 
(Barbara) of Cherry Hill, N. J., her daughter, Linda Kaplan (Mrs. Morton Kaplan), 
eight grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.  The funeral will take place Friday 
at 11 a.m., at the PLATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.  (The Post and
