That she is the lawful widow of Jas. W. Adair, who was enlisted under the name of Jas. W. The 59th Georgia Infantry, Confederate States Army, was formed, in part, from the 7th Georgia State Troops, but the name James Adair has not been found on such rolls as are on file in this office of the last named organization and no record has been found of the capture or parole of a man of this name as of either of the above men- tioned organization.
