Jewell, commanding Third Brigade, of Florida Division, of United Confederate Veterans, has appointed the following staff officers for the Brigade: Assistant Adjutant General and Chief of staff, W. Gart Johnson, (crossed out), of Camp 54, Orlando; Assistant Inspector General, W. H. Johnson, of Camp 284, Bartow; Assistant Quarter Master General B. V. Mathes, of Camp 36, of Hillsboro County. Assistant Surgeon General, w. C. Person, M. D. Camp 54, Orlando; Assistant Judge Advocate General, A. M. Thrasher, Camp 149, Sanford; Each of these officers will rank as Major, and may procure commissions from General J. B. Gordon, Commander in Chief, through general Headquarters at New Orleans.
