Luther A. McGee, pastor of the Collins Road Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Memory Gardens. Mr. and Mrs. Brooks, who resided at Rte. 4, Box 424A, Kirwin Road died Wednesday morning at their home. Mr. Brooks was born in Gordon, Ga. and Mrs. Brooks was born in Cochran, Ga. Both had lived in this city for 25 years, moving here from Gordon. Mr. and Mrs. Brooks were members of the Collins Road Baptist Church. Mr. Brooks is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Henry Arnold of Milledgeville, Ga.; two sons, L. W. Brooks of this city and James T. Brooks of Michigan City, Ind.; his mother, Mrs. T. F. Brooks of Gordon; six sisters, Mrs. W. H. Lord and Mrs. J. C. Fountain of Gordon, Mrs. H. M. Lord of Irwinton, Mrs. Bessie Jones and Mrs. A. W. McNeal of Macon, Ga., and Mrs. Ray A. Amanson of Richmond, Va.; three brothers, O. L. Brooks, A. B. Brooks, and J. P. Brooks, all of Gordon; 15 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brooks is survived by one stepdaughter, Mrs. Henry Arnold of Milledgeville, Ga.; two stepsons, L. W. Brooks of this city and James T. Brooks of Michigan City; eight sisters, Mrs. Frances Anderson, Mrs. May Bell Martin, and Mrs. Clara Fountain, all of this city, Mrs. Susie Johnson of Milner,Ga., Mrs. Dolly Young of Dry Branch,Ga., Mrs. Beatrice Harderee and Mrs. Alma McGatha, both of Columbus, Ohio and Mrs. Sadie Caleel of Detroit, Mich.; five brothers, J. L. Grimsley, J. M. Grimsley, and C. T. Grimsley, all of this city, and C. G. Grimsley and W. S. Grimsley, both of Macon, Ga. and a number of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Pallbearers for Mrs. Brooks will be active, Bobby Brooks, Albert Simpson, Edward Denney, ?, ?, and Charlie Jackson. Pallbearers for Mr. Brooks will be active , J. W. Morgan, Paul Morgan, ?, ?, ?. Honorary pallbearers for Both Mr. and Mrs. Brooks will be L. A. Garrison, ?, Bobby Holcomb, C. C. Howell, ?, and L. G. Johnson. Additional Comments: Wilburn Brooks was born 10-8-1900 and died 5-11-1966 (FL DC# 66-024985) and Myrtle Estelle (maiden name Grimsley) Brooks was born 7-3-1894 and died 5-11- 1966 (FL DC# 66-024986) and both are buried at Jacksonville Memory Gardens in Clay County Florida. The parents of Mr. Brooks are John Thomas Freeman Brooks and Wilmouth Veal Brooks. The parents of Mrs. Brooks are George Thomas Grimsley, who is buried at Prospect Methodist Church Cemetery in Twiggs County, Georgia, and Maybell E. Winn Grimsley.
