GRIFFIS – Nathaniel J. Griffis, on Saturday, July 28, 1979, at 7:52 o’clock 
a.m., beloved husband of Mamie Elizabeth Broom Griffis, father of Noah J., 
Robert J., Lawrence H. and Mary Griffis, Mildred Mendoza, Barbara Graham, Ada 
E. Green and the late Mack E. Griffis, brother of Lela Lamora; also survived 
by 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren ; age 71 years; a native of 
Jacksonville, Fla. And a resident of this city of 21 years.

Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of the City of New Orleans 
Parkway Commission and the Dixie Printing Company are invited to attend the 
funeral.  Services from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel, 4747 Veterans Blvd., 
near Clearview, on Monday, July 30, 1979, at 11 o’clock a.m.  Religious 
services in Leitz-Eagan Chapel.

Interment Metairie Cemetery.  

Friends may call after 8 a.m. Monday.
