                            GRIMSLEY

Funeral services for Calvin T. Grimsley, 82, who died October 22, 1996, will be 
held at 10:30AM Saturday October 26, 1996 in George H. Hewell and Son Northside 
Funeral Home with Rev. Richard E. Carney officiating. Interment in Evergreen 
Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8PM at the funeral 
home. Mr. Grimsley is a native of Vidalia, Georgia and a resident of 
Jacksonville, Florida most of his life. He is a member of East Forty-Fourth 
Street Baptist Church where he served as deacon; Carpenters Union #627. He is 
survived by his wife of 56 years, Clara Elizabeth Bennett Grimsley; a daughter 
and son-in-law, Faye and George Wisley; grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Phil 
Blackstone, Peggy and Eric Stephenson, Susan and Doug Byrd; great 
grandchildren, Seth, Caleb, and Jacob Blackstone, Bradley and Emily Stephenson, 
and Zachary and Jordan Byrd, and many nieces and nephews.


Additional Comments:
Calvin T. Grimsley was born 5-6-1914 and died 10-22-1996 and is buried at 
Evergreen cemetery in Duval County, Florida. His father, George Thomas Grimsley 
and mother, Eula Lee Wilkes Grimsley are buried at Prospect Methodist Church 
Cemetery in Twiggs County, Georgia.
