Merton Dale Nelson was born in Pensacola on June 30 1911 and Died in Tampa, 
Hillsborough, Florida, on April 12, 1986. He Graduated from Pensacola High 
School in 1928. He worked for the Weather Bureau in Pensacola then left and 
went in the Border Patrol in Texas. Returned to waork for the weather bureau 
in 1945.
