Wood ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Donald Lewis Herzel, Sr. of Pensacola, FL passed away on February 16, 1986 at his home after a lenghty illness. Donald Herzel was born May 30, 1918 in Kalamazoo, MI. He went into the U. S. Air Force, and after training, went to Dale Mabry Field, Tallahassee, FL. While here her meet his wife, Dorothy Drew Campbell of Laurel Hill, FL, who was attending Florida State Woman's College. They moved to Pensacola, FL, where he resided for 40 years and was the Purchasing Agent for Baptist Hospital and an avid golfer. Survivors include his wife Dorothy Drew Campbell Herzel of Pensacola, FL; two sons, Donald Lewis Herzel, Jr. of Cantonment, FL and Alan Monroe Herzel of Pensacola, FL; a daughter, Linda Lucile Courts of Bradenton Beach, FL; one sister, Margaret Payne of Plainwell, MI; one brother, Edward F. Herzel of Kalamazoo, MI; and three grandchildren, Lisa Renee Wood and James Aaron Wood of Fort Walton Beach, FL and Matt Herzel of Cantonment, FL. Funeral services were held February 19, 1986 at McNeil Keyes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Cheshire officating. Burial was at the Pensacola Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 7433 Pine Forest Road, Pensacola, FL with McNeil Keyes Funeral Home directing. Elmer Laird, Allen Bryan, Frank Haradaman, Hodsoll Skipper, Robert Wood and Joe Angelo will be acting pallbearers.
