Wood ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Dorothy "Dottie" Drew Campbell Herzel, 78, of Pensacola, FL passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2001 at her home after a lenghty illness. Dorthy Drew was born July 11, 1923 in Laurel Hill, FL. Dottie was a retired civil service employee working in finance at the Naval Air Station, Pensacola, FL. Dottie was an active member of the First Baptist Church Reflectors Sunday School Class and a member of the PJC Seniors Club. Dottie went on many vacation trips with the two groups and enjoyed playing card games with her friends. Dottie enjoyed spending time in the yard and working with her flowers. Dottie's husband, Donald Lewis Herzel passed away February 16, 1986. Survivors include two sons, Donald Lewis Herzel and Alan Monroe Herzel of Pensacola, FL; one daughter, Linda L. Courts of Bradenton Beach, FL; 3 grandchildren, Lisa Foley of Crestview, FL, James Aaron Wood of Mobile, AL and Emily Drew Herzel of Pensacola, FL; 2 great-grandchildren, Kristin Renee Foley and Nicholas James Foley of Crestview, FL. A private funeral service was held Tuesday, August 7, 2001 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Bill Santo. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Northwest Florida for the care and support they provided to Dottie. In lieu of flowers the family requested that donations be made in her name to Hospice of Northwest Florida.
