Chattahoochee. This roll includes the name, Jacob Lind, Landsman Additional Comments: Jacob was born in Germany in 1830 in Manchenheim. He was the youngest of 7 children of Johaness Lind and Maria Kraemer. Jacob immigrated to the Unites States. He was married about 1849 in Florida to Margaret. He was living in the 6th Division of Franklin County, Florida in 1850. He was married. His wife was also from Germany. He was a drayman by occupation. He and his wife and children were living in Apalachicola, Florida in Franklin County in 1860. He was a merchant. When war came to the south and to Florida he enlisted in the Confederate States Navy. C.S.S. Chattahoochee/crew roster/https://www.fold3.com/image/280471847 He survived the war and was living in Apalachicola in 1870. He and his wife had 6 children. He died and was buried in Apalachicola in 1878. There is a grave marker on https://www.findagrave.com/ indicating his service.
