Avoca is an African-American cemetery is located in Jasper, Florida on pastureland property owned by Dr. Jerry Smith, DDS.
Hamilton County Property Appraiser Parcel 3210-000 in Section 16 Twp 2N Range 13E.  Dr. Smith reported the cemetery
is 100 years old and most graves are unmarked.
From I-75 take Exit 451 onto US 129 North and travel 5.0 miles to the intersection of US 129 and Hatley Street in
Downtown Jasper.  Turn left onto Hatley Street (US 129/41 North) remain on US 129 North and travel 6.6 miles to CR 150.
Turn left onto CR 150 and travel .7 miles and turn left onto NW 86th Blvd.  Travel 1.4 miles and cross the R/R track
Turning immediately on unpaved path running along side the tracks and travel 2/10 mile to the cemetery.

The Official Map of Hamilton County has the Avoca Cemetery marked as Geiger Cemetery, perhaps 
because 1940-41 WPA Veterans' Grave Registration Project listed it as such.
Dr. Jerry Smith said he thought the name was Spring Hill.  
Mr. Lewis Vaughn, Hamilton County Commissioner advised the name was always Avoca.
