Headstone of Charlie A. [Aubrey] Mathis [Sr.], b. May 14, 1930 d. March 25, 
2010 s/s Dora L. Mathis b. April 26, 1927 d. Feb 20, 1980.  Located in 
Evergreen Cemetery (East Center Section), Jasper, Hamilton County, Florida.

Additional Comments:
Charles' obituary provided further info: Charlie Aubrey Mathis, Sr., age 79, 
of Jesup, GA., passed away l in Jesup. Born in Arabi, Georgia to the late 
Floyd and Nellie Mathis. Retired from the United States Army. Mr. Mathis 
worked for a time Hamilton County School Board and also as a heavy equipment 
operator. Member of Red Hill Baptist Church in Jesup. Preceded in death by his 
parents; two children, Barbara and Charlie Mathis, Jr.; great granddaughter, 
Lisa Marie Cason and sister, Theaster Raines. Survivors: wife, Winifred 
Mathis; sons, Floyd Mathis, Bobby Mathis, Johunn Mathis;  step-son, James Earl 
Fussell; daughter, Elizabeth Novakovich; step daughters, Sheila White, Barbara 
Floyd; brother, Emmett Mathis; sisters, Waunell McCall and Lafayette McCall; 
10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
