Headstone of Elaine A.[Abercrombie] Oppelt b. July 7, 1941 d. July 16, 2005.  
Located in Evergreen Cemetery (East Center Section), Jasper, Hamilton County, 
Florida.

Additional Comments:
Elaine Abercrombie, 64, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2005, after a 
courageous battle with cancer. She was born to Stanton and Shirley C. 
Abercrombie in Jacksonville, Fla. on July 7, 1941. Elaine graduated from 
Valdosta High School in 1959. She was a Southern Baptist and was employed by 
Central Florida Alarm Systems as office manager until her retirement in Jan. 
2004.

 Elaine is survived by her husband of 44 years, Joseph L. Oppelt, Jr.; sons 
and daughters-in-law, Steven L. and Julie Oppelt of Pensacola, Fla.; William 
C. and Barbara Oppelt of Clermont, Fla.; Joseph R. and Michael K. Oppelt; 
mother, Shirley C. Abercrombie; brothers, Butch Abercrombie of Orlando, Fla.; 
Buddy Abercrombie of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters, Sheryl Brewer of 
Chulouta, and Midge Martin of Valdosta; eight grandchildren; and one great-
grandchild.

 Elaine is predeceased by her father, Stanton Abercrombie and granddaughter, 
Crystal L. Oppelt. 

A memorial service was held for Elaine in Orlando on July 19, 2005, at Cary 
Hand Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held July 30, 2005 in 
Jasper, Fla. in Evergreen Cemetery. -- Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, 
Fla.
