Herring Cemetey is located in Jennings, Florida.  Hamilton County Property 
Appraiser lists Parcel 3842-000 in Sect 221 Twp 3N Range 12E;  property 
ownership is listed as Jennings 1262 LLC, etal.    
From the town of Jennnings at the intersection of Plum Street and Hamilton 
Avenue go north on Plum Street (US 41N).  Travel 6/10 of a mile and turn left 
onto NW 9th Street (unpaved).
Travel 1.4 miles on NW 9th Street.  On the right there will be an unpaved 
roadway leading into the pine forest which has a chain/locked obstruction at 
approximately 50 yards with a sign “Posted – No Trespassing”.
The cemetery is 3/10 of a mile on the left from the chain at the entrance; it 
is enclosed with chain link fence.  Inquire at the Jennings Police 
Department/City Hall regarding access.

Herring Cemetery was first canvassed by Winnie Smith Hodges and published in 
her book Cemeteries of Hamilton County in 1991.  The cemetery was re-surveyed 
and photographed by Lesleigh Laite Butts February 23, 2011.
