From the intersection of US 98 and County Road 491, go south 1.3 miles on County Road 491. The cemetery is on the west side of the road and visible from the road. The cemetery is identified as Saint Joseph Cemetery on the General Highway Map of Hernando County, FL, published by the Florida Dept. of Transportation, dated October 1982. There is no sign at the cemetery identifying it as Saint Joseph Cemetery. Immediately adjacent to the cemetery and on the same piece of land is Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church. It is unusual for a church and cemetery to be co-located with different names. The cemetery is located in Section 30, Range 19E, Township 21S. A CD-ROM with photos of the tombstones and cemetery will be placed in the Family History Library, Salt Lake City, Utah, for archival purposes. There are 5 concrete crosses marking unidentified graves. Tombstone Inscriptions in quotation marks. Surveyor comments in parentheses.
