Abbott Enlistment: 1st October 1861 in Capt. William Bailey's Company, "G" 5th Fla, at St. Marks Fla., was detailed from company to furnish timber and wood to the RailRoad between Tallahassee and Lake City in Florida. Military Service: "As I have said to supply the R.R. between Tallahassee and Lake City which was being used in the transporation of troops and supplies. I continued in its service until the close of the war. I am now feeble and old and unable to gain a livlihood by manual labor.
