K. ZEWADSKI, Jr. The professional intimates of W. K. ZEWADSKI, Jr., unhesitatingly place him among the most able general practitioners who ever graced the Tampa bar, for he is at home in every department, whether civil or criminal, common law or chancery, real-estate or corporation law. Because of this breadth of training he has earned a firm place among the successful lawyers of his part of the state, and is a man of remarkable strength of character. He was born on a farm near Ocala, Florida, a son of WILLIAM K. and AMANDA HARRIET (BARCO) ZEWADSKI, the former of whom was born at Jacksonville, Florida, and the latter at Ocala, Florida. The paternal grandfather was one of the noblemen of Poland, exiled from his native land when it was conquered by the Germans, at which time he sought refuge in the United States, and located in Florida. WILLIAM K. ZEWADSKI of Ocala is an attorney, and three of his four sons belong to the same learned profession, W. K. ZEWADSKI, Jr., being the eldest. After completing his studies in the local schools W. K. ZEWADSKI, Jr., took his literary course in the University of Florida, and received his legal training in the law department of the University of Michigan, at Ann Arbor, Michigan, from which he was graduated in 1910, with the degree of Bachelor of Laws. He was admitted to the bar in January, 1911, and in March permanently established himself at Tampa, where he has since remained, continuing in a general practice. In 1912 Mr. Zewadski married EDITH LAWRENCE, a daughter of E. L. LAWRENCE, of New Jersey. They have two children: WILLIAM K. III, and MARTHA. Fraternally Mr. Zewadski maintains membership with the Knights of Pythias. He is very active in the democratic party, but cannot be induced to take office, although did he care to become a candidate he would receive a strong support because of his personal popularity and the esteem in which he is held by the public because of the obvious honesty of his intentions and the patient wisdom with which he meets many trying situations.
