Brock and Chuck Norlin of the Greater Brandon Genealogical Society. This information is copyrighted to the GBGS but has been donated for non-profit use to the FLGenWeb Project and USGenWeb Project archives. Mayberry Cemetery is an African American cemetery still in use today and can be reached by going to the intersection of 579 and Mango Road; Mango Road to Bessie Dix Road. Turn left. Mayberry Cemetery is just west of the Loving Care Cemetery. An important note on visiting Mayberry Cemetery -- please be advised that on Saturday mornings is NOT a good time to make a visit. There is a little old man who is there every Saturday morning, as he has been for decades now, hunting squirrels. It is recommended for your own safety that you not try to visit during his hunting hours. ======================================================================== Begin at first entrance - Northeast corner: ======================================================================== Name Birth Death Remarks ======================================================================== Hunter, Betty Ann 5-11-63 3-12-93 Age 24 2 unmarked concrete slabs side by side Holmes, Parrish, Sr. Sept 17, 1918 Dec 12, 1990 curved slab Lewis, Pearl 1890 1959 raised flat slab Monlin, Troy 1922 1992 "Peaceful Rest" Curved slab McCollum, Lawrence C., Jr 1917 1991 Sgt, U.S. Army World War II Raised flat slab and Standing stone provided by govt.
