One Thousand Nine Hundred and nine, personally appeared before me, a Notary Public in and for the County and State aforesaid Julia F. Sherouse a resident of Nichols County Hillsboro State of Florida, who being duly sworn according to law, makes the following declaration in order to obtain a pension under the provisions of Chapter 885, Laws of Florida, approved June 7, 1909. That she is the widow of Israel Sherouse who was enlisted under the name of Israel Sherouse on the _____ day of July 1862, in Company "F" 9th Infantry Regiment of the State of Florida and who was honorably discharged at Appomattox C H Va Arl 9, 1865, on account of close of war. (Here give complete statement of other service, if any.) That he also served [this space left blank] That she was lawfully married to the said Israel Sherouse under the name of Julia F. Darruce in the County of Alachua, State of Florida. That she is a resident of Hillsboro County, Florida, and has continuously resided in the State of Florida since the _____ day of "all her life". That she does not own property, including real estate, personal property, mortgages or other collateral securities, stocks or bonds in this or any other State to exceed in value other the sum of Five Thousand Dollars. It is shown by the records that Israel Sherouse, private, Company F, 9th Florida Infantry, Confederate State Army, was enlisted August 11, 1863.
