Funeral services for Mabel K. (Kammerer) Phillips, 88, of Tampa will be held 
at 11:00 A.M. Thursday (Januray 23, 1997) at the Henderson Blvd. Chapel of 
Marsicano-B, Marion Reed-Stowers Funeral Home. Mrs. Phillips was a native of 
Long Point, TX, and resided in Tampa since 1990. She was a Finisher and 
Assembler for Hills Box Factory; member of Zionsville Luthern Church and a 
member of Blue Bonnet Club in Long Point, TX. She was preceded in death by 
four brothers; and eight sisters; and her daughter, Dorothy Ashcraft. 
Survivors include two sons, Virgil Boortz, Rosenberg, TX, Earl Boortz, 
Tallahassee, FL; daughter, Joyce E. Moore, Tampa; 12 grandchildren; and 
several great grandchildren. The family will receive friends this evening-
Wednesday, (January 22, 1997) from 6:30 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

*Mabel was also preceded in death by her husbands, (1) Ben Boortz in 1969 who 
died in Texas and (2) Clifford Jackson Phillips who died in 1960 in Tampa. 

*Mabel's 2nd husband, Clifford Phillips is the Great Uncle of the Submitter. 

*Mabel is laid to rest at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, FL.
