Local News, Tampa, Fl. Hillsborough county, Friday, July 6, 2007.
Noel O. Weary, 86 of Tampa died July 4, 2007. Preceded in death by His Son, 
Noel. Survivors: His Wife, Dorothy; a Daughter, Donna Schneider; a Grandson, 
Raymond Van Zile III; and a Great-Granddaughter, Jenna Van Zile. Mr. Weary was 
a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor, being a Navy veteran serving on the 
USS Oklahoma. He participated in several Naval battles including Iwo Jima and 
Okinawa. He was a Deputy Sheriff for Hillsborough county, later working as an 
Engineer. A member of Egypt Temple Shrine, Scottish Rite, Bay Lodge 12 Knights 
of Pythias and Hillsborough Lodge 25 Free & Accepted Masons. Friends may visit 
9-10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. 
Lake Ave., Tampa, service will follow at 10 a.m. with burial at Garden of 
Memories Cemetery. Words of comfort may be expressed at

Pearl Harbor located on Honolulu, Hawaii site of an attack 12-7-1941 that 
caused America to enter WWII.
USS Oklahoma, a US Navy Battleship that was at the Pearl Harbor attack.
Iwo Jima: Island in the Pacific northwest belonging to Japan. Site of fierce 
fighting by U. S. forces in 1945.
Okinawa: Island in the Pacific Northwest belonging to Japan. Site of ferocious 
fighting by U. S. forces in 1945.
Egypt Temple Shrine, Scottish Rite (4th thru 33 degree), Hillsborough Lodge No. 
25, F&AM are located in Tampa, Fl.
